Harrison Woodard Bio
"Words are like diamonds, the more refined, the greater the value!" -- Harrison Woodard
Who Am I? - I was born and raised in an East Texas town called Longview. After graduating from Pine Tree High School, I attended Lon Morris College, a small Methodist college in Jacksonville, Texas. Upon graduation from Lon Morris, I transferred to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where I earned my BA in advertising management and a minor in history.
My mother and two sisters also received degrees from SMU. Unfortunately, my father graduated from the University of Texas, but we don't hold that against him.
Throughout my career, I have been blessed with many interesting opportunities to create and promote all types of products and participate in wonderful events all over the country. I have worked with some of the dominant brands in licensing and entertainment including: Coca-Cola, MGM/UA, National Hockey League, New Line Cinema, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney.
In addition, I've gained some solid technology experience working with telecom giants like: Cable & Wireless, GTE, MCI, Nokia, and SBC Communications.
You can learn more about my professional experience and accomplishments on My Resume page. See what others have said and other activities in my past on my Additional Info page.
I live in Dallas with my cat, Boris. He was the inspiration for the Boris Kitty children's story series. You can read these and my other stories, poems and songs at the Matney Woodard Entertainment web site. I launched Matney Woodard in 2001. What started out as a little diversion has mushroomed into one of the top destinations for those seeking inspirational stories and content. People from every continent have been blessed by this site.
I have always enjoyed creating things and writing. My first literary endeavor was a weekly newspaper in elementary school called "The Daily Freak". It had a circulation of 3 at the height of its popularity. Hopefully, this site will surpass that mark.
How to Contact Me - I would love your prayers, questions, and comments. I can be reached via email at: harrisonwoodard@yahoo.com.
Why did you create this site? - AT&T was generous enough to provide web space for its customers, so why not use it to share information with my family and friends? Who knows, maybe I will make a few more.
